On behalf of the program committee – Arthur Cummings, MD, Michael Mrochen, PhD, Renato Ambrosio Jr, MD, Phd, Radhika Rampat, MBBS, and Guy M Kezirian, MD, MBA – we invite you to attend the “RSA INNOVATION SYMPOSIUM 2023: Key Innovations You Should Be Using Now” in Dublin, Ireland, from Thursday, June 29 – Sunday, July 2, 2023. This is a live and in-person, Members-Only event.

The theme is “Harnessing Innovation for Growth.” The program will feature 10 areas of amazing innovations that are transforming how refractive surgery is being delivered. The program is not about ophthalmic technologies! Rather it is about Artificial Intelligence, Social and Environmental Innovation, Business Intelligence, harnessing technology to modernize the patient experience, and much more.

In keeping with the RSA’s mission to bring the benefits of refractive surgery to more people through collaboration, this symposium will present ideas that can be put to immediate use to grow your practice. We believe for many this program will mark the before-and-after transformation for how we view – and harness – the future of refractive surgery.

This symposium will build on the tremendous, ground-breaking success of the 2019 RSA Symposium on Digital Medicine, which was the first digital medicine symposium ever held in ophthalmology. This symposium will be unlike any other. Ten key areas of innovation – all of which are important to daily practice – will be presented, with examples of how they have performed in actual use.

The Symposium opens with a cocktail reception from 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023, then and ends at 11:00 AM on Sunday, July 2, 2023. The schedule is allocated for independent cultural activities on both Friday and Saturday, to discover Dublin culture. Dublin is one of the most walkable cities in Europe. The flat, compact nature of the city lends itself perfectly to getting around on foot. From the famous Guinness Storehouse to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, one can walk back in time and learn about Irish heritage and events that have shaped the beautiful city of Dublin.
