David Enfield, MD is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at The Eye Center of North Florida who specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Enfield is an Army Veteran who continues to serve in the Army National Guard with 16 years of total service, including a year-long tour of duty in Iraq from 2007-2008. Dr. Enfield graduated with a degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University and then attended medical school at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix where he received his medical degree. He then pursued a residency in ophthalmology at Emory University where he received world-class surgical training.
Dr. Enfield’s top priority is to treat every patient as his own family member and to provide the highest quality care and treatment to improve vision and ultimately quality of life. His military experience and training have provided him with an overarching goal of serving and helping others, and you can expect that he will do whatever it takes to provide you with the care you need.
Outside of work Dr. Enfield enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys weightlifting, exercise, sports, and outdoor activities.
