Lisa McLoughlin has worked at the Wellington Eye Clinic since 1992 and has been involved in the growth and development of the practice over the past 28 years. Lisa initially started as the practice nurse and extended her role into clinical management after 10 years of service. Lisa completed a BSc in Nursing Management in RCSI Dublin to enhance her management role in the clinic.
Lisa has been a clinical support Dr Arthur Cummings over the years and has also supported Liz Brennan (Research Manager) in the co-ordination of clinical trials in the practice.
Lisa has now taken over full clinic management since September 2019 and is responsible for the day to day running of the clinic along with the business development of the practice.
Lisa attends congresses with the Wellington team and thoroughly enjoys the educational aspect of attending with the team who learn a lot from the world leaders in cataract and refractive surgery. It is also an excellent opportunity for Lisa to connect with industry partners and see what innovative developments are being discussed.
Lisa enjoys being part of a very motivated team and is always willing to consider new developments to improve and development the Wellington Eye Clinic to ensure it is providing the best and highest standard of care to patients
Lisa is married to Rod and has 3 adult children and lives in Dublin. Lisa enjoys family time the most outside of her busy role at the Wellington Eye Clinic and strives to keep fit in her spare time. Lisa also enjoys cooking and reading when she has time.
