David Truong, MD

David Truong, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He performs the full spectrum of Corneal Transplant Surgery, Advanced Technology Cataract Surgery, and Laser Vision Correction to help his patients achieve the best vision possible. Dr. Truong is adored by his patients as an honest, dedicated, and friendly surgeon.

After graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Truong went on to earn his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Following residency, he obtained further training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the world-renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA in Los Angeles, California.

Dr Truong has published extensively and has served as faculty at the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served on the board of directors of the Kansas Eye Bank, the executive committee for the New Mexico Academy of Ophthalmology, and councilor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is honored to serve as adjunct faculty to mentor trainees in the UT Southwestern Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship. Dr. Truong is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Cornea Society, and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Truong enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a native Texan, and their two young sons. He and his family are thrilled to be back in Fort Worth near their family and to serve their beloved community.
