Jeffrey Tran, MD is an ophthalmologist and founder of Stratus Eye, serving the greater Atlanta community. Dr. Tran is passionate about helping people see clearly and confidently, blending the precision of modern refractive surgery with a deeply personal approach to patient care. Dr. Tran is deeply committed to teaching and sharing knowledge. As an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (Young Ophthalmologist Committee) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (Young Eye Surgeon Committee), he works to support the next generation of eye surgeons through mentorship, collaboration, and education. He also extends this passion to a broader audience through his YouTube and TikTok platforms, which have collectively reached over 3 million views, where he educates patients and young ophthalmologists on eye health, refractive surgery, and career growth in medicine.
His motivation to practice refractive surgery comes from witnessing the life changing impact of vision restoration. For Dr. Tran, every successful outcome represents more than sharper sight—it symbolizes confidence, freedom, and a better quality of life.
Dr. Tran attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies, earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine. He is also a member of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology, and his areas of expertise include cataract and refractive surgery, and advanced intraocular lens technology.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with his family, marathon running, and exploring new ways to combine innovation, teaching, and patient care.
