Colby Argo, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon in Lincoln, NE. He is a partner at Sutton Linder Sutton, the city’s highest-volume and most trusted practice for refractive surgery for over 25 years. Dr. Argo evaluates and treats patients seeking greater independence from glasses and contacts in Lincoln and the communities in central and western Nebraska.
Having had LASIK himself while in ophthalmology residency, Dr. Argo knows how valuable refractive surgery can be for patients and looks forward to guiding them through their own refractive journeys. No two patients are alike in terms of their goals, hobbies, and stage of life, which is what makes refractive surgery a dynamic and satisfying aspect of Dr. Argo’s practice. In order to provide the best care, he looks forward to learning about his patients and crafting care plans to set all parties up for success before entering the laser suite or operating room.
Dr. Argo grew up on a farm outside of Liberty, Nebraska. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His post-graduate training includes a transitional year internship at the University of South Dakota, ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and a cornea and external disease fellowship at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. In his clinical role at Eye Surgical Associates, Dr. Argo provides subspecialty corneal care for the state with a focus on providing the latest surgical and procedural innovations for complex ocular surface disease.
Outside of his clinical and surgical practice, Dr. Argo is busy keeping up with his wife and three children. He works on his backyard garden in his moments of spare time, and if he has even more time, Dr. Argo will be golfing! As an alumnus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he enjoys being in town to cheer on his Huskers.
