Dain Brooks, MD is the founder and CEO of Brooks Eye Associates and Surgery Center 121 located in Plano, Texas. The location includes a state-of-the-art clinic, refractive laser center, and ambulatory surgery center. The practice offers a premium cataract and refractive surgical experience. Refractive surgeries include LASIK, PRK, and ICLs.
Dr. Brooks is a board-certified ophthalmologist who graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) and completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. During this time, he treated many soldiers with eye injuries from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served in the U.S. Army as an ophthalmologist at Fort Polk, LA, and then taught resident Army and Air Force physicians at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. His teaching included cataract and refractive surgery. Cataract surgery instruction included all FDA-approved premium IOLs. Refractive surgery included LASIK, PRK, and ICLs. During his service in the Army, he was awarded two Meritorious Service Medals. After separating from the military, Dr. Brooks moved to the DFW area and opened Brooks Eye Associates.
Dr. Brooks is married with four children and enjoys traveling, teaching, outdoor activities in his spare time. Whenever possible, he enjoys participating in cataract surgery medical missions to meet the needs of people without direct access to advanced eye care in other countries. He is fluent in Spanish.
