Michael DeCourcey, MD is a PGY-4 and Chief Resident of Ophthalmology at the University at Buffalo/Ross Eye Institute. Originally from Canandaigua, NY, he went on to graduate magna cum laude with distinction from Syracuse University and completed his medical education at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
His love of Ophthalmology is apparent based on the compassionate care he provides and his commitment to sharing that love and knowledge through medical education.
Dr. DeCourcey has a particular interest in complex anterior segment surgery and refractive surgery. He looks forward to developing this interest in fellowship and gaining experience in a wide range of advanced surgical procedures to best serve his patients.
When he isn’t in the clinic or operating room, he enjoys playing soccer, spending time with friends and family, going to local breweries, and struggling at golf.
