A native of Louisiana, Dr. Griffith graduated as an Echols Scholar from the University of Virginia. He attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he earned a Master of Science degree in neuropharmacology. During his residency at LSUHSC, Dr. Griffith served as Chief Resident. He then completed fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at Eye Consultants of Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Griffith is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and among the first in Mississippi to perform 1-Visit All-Laser LASIK and also all-laser cataract procedures. He is the pioneer in the tri-state area to offer LipiFlow®, a treatment for dry eye syndrome. Dr. Griffith was recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as a Mississippi Healthcare Hero in 2O11.
