Ariane de Lassus, MD is an experienced ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon. Originally from Switzerland, Dr de Lassus trained in ophthalmology at Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital. She then moved to the UK for her fellowships, first in Cambridge and then in London, where she trained in ophthalmic surgery. Dr de Lassus was then appointed as a Chief Resident in Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital, Switzerland. In 2021, Dr de Lassus joined Vision Rive Droite, Vision Laser and Vision Clinique in Geneva, where she practices to this day. Dr de Lassus holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from Ulster University (UK), and focuses her current practice on Refractive and Cataract surgery.
Dr de Lassus maintains and adheres to the latest, up-to-date international guidelines for refractive surgery and actively participates in local and international scientific congresses. She is passionate about vision and refractive surgery, and strives to provide the best tailored visual solutions for her patients. She likes challenging cases and is a patient-clinician, listening carefully to patient’s expectations, and thereby delivering the expected outcome.
Dr de Lassus is known for her attention to detail and her surgical precision. She believes that vision is the most precious thing a person has and therefore becoming an expert in refractive surgery became her vocation.
Dr de Lassus is registered on the GMC (UK) as well as on the specialist register for both UK and Switzerland. She is a member of several international scientific societies, including the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS), United Kingdom & Ireland Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (UKICRS), Société Française d’Ophtalmologie (SFO), Swiss Society of Ophthalmology (SSO), and the Refractive Surgery Alliance (RSA), and she attends several of their congresses every year.
In her free time, Dr de Lassus is a keen pianist, skier and cold water swimmer, along with being the mother to a little girl born in February 2023.
