Xavier Mortensen, MD is a cornea fellow with Price Vision Group in Indianapolis, IN. He grew up in Salt Lake City, UT where his passion for ophthalmology began not long after he underwent laser refractive surgery himself. He quickly saw the profound impact an eye surgeon could have on improving another’s quality of life and decided to pursue a career where he could offer a similar experience for others.
Dr. Mortensen obtained his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, followed by his medical degree at the University of Utah. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina where he served as Chief Resident and received the “Resident Clinical Excellence” award. After finishing his cornea fellowship in Indianapolis, Dr. Mortensen plans to return west and practice in Spokane, WA near family.
In his free time, Dr. Mortensen enjoys sports, exploring the outdoors, board games, alto saxophone, and spending time with his wife Ashley and their 3 children.
