Patrick Munson, MD

Patrick Munson, MD graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an Army Engineer in Germany, clearing minefields in the former Yugoslavia, before pursuing a career in medicine. He attended medical school at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, completed a residency program at Madigan Army Medical Center, and served as Chief of Refractive Surgery at multiple military installations. He has mastered every modern refractive surgery technique from LASIK and PRK to Implantable Contact Lens and Corneal Cross-linking. As an instructor at the University of Washington, University of South Carolina, and Uniformed Services University, he taught refractive surgery to medical students, residents and fellow surgeons.

Dr. Munson has authored numerous papers on refractive surgery and has performed thousands of laser vision correction procedures for active duty servicemen and women. Dr. Munson is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and has earned the Meritorious Service Medal, the Order of Military Medical Merit, and the Parachutist Badge. He is now Chief of Refractive Surgery at Ft. Hood, Texas. He has one daughter and enjoys the outdoors in his free time.
