Justin Needham, MD

Justin Needham, MD is a board-certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK, PRK, Implantable Collamer Lenses, Refractive Lens Exchange and Cataract Surgery.

Dr. Needham has recently joined Milan Eye Center after a distinguished career in the US Army. He received his medical degree from our nation’s military medical school, Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD. After serving as a flight surgeon in Germany, Dr. Needham was selected ahead of his peers to attend ophthalmology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center, Ft. Lewis, WA. Following residency training, Dr. Needham was immediately selected for a teaching position at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. In addition to providing comprehensive cataract and refractive surgery in the clinic, he also delivered lectures and taught cataract surgery to the ophthalmology residents.

His military service continued when he was promoted to Major and assigned as the Chief of Ophthalmology and of the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Fort Stewart, GA. While assigned to Ft. Stewart, Dr. Needham performed thousands of refractive surgery and cataract procedures on soldiers, retirees and family members from Ft. Stewart, Ft. Jackson, Ft. Benning, and surrounding military bases.

As both an Ophthalmologist and refractive surgery patient himself, Dr. Needham understands the incredible life-changing benefits of refractive surgery; and he looks forward to sharing his years of experience and dedication to safe, high-quality surgery with each and every patient.
