As a surgeon, Dr Rondon is dedicated to keeping up with the clinical, academic, and administrative demands required of during her busy fellowship, always prepared with a positive attitude and an insatiable appetite for learning, matched with her tireless work ethic. Starting with limited surgical experience, Centro Laser has afforded her the ability to quickly get up to speed with the surgical skills necessary to carry out successful surgeries in a private setting. Much of that has been accomplished via practicing surgical skills in wet-labs scheduled either by her attending or during her own time.

Dr Rondon is motivated to practice refractive surgery because of an overarching desire to create a personalized treatment approach for each of her patients, to learn and use the different techniques and technologies available to treat refractive errors, and to strive to obtain happy patients by providing the best possible visual outcomes for each and every patient.

Dr Rondon obtained her medial degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, completed her ophthalmology residency at the Armed Forces Central Hospital in Santo Domingo acting as Chief Resident during her 4th year of training, and completed her graduate thesis on Corneal Allogenic Intrastromal Ring Segments (CAIRS).

Her professional interests include the medical/surgical treatment of corneal diseases, laser vision correction, intraocular lens implants, ICRS, CAIRS, and corneal collagen crosslinking. She has participated in charitable vision screenings and surgical procedures in the Navy Bucket Comfort Hospital, as well as a missionary ship during one of its missions to the Dominican Republic in the year 2019.

Dr Rondon is engaged to be married following her fellowship and her hobbies include horseback riding, weight lifting, and jogging.
