Emily Schorr, MD practices ophthalmology because she is passionate about helping patients see better. She loves being in the OR and performing LASIK and other refractive surgery and vision correction procedures.
Dr Schorr loves being a surgeon, is great with her hands, and is attentive to detail, spending significant time and attention on the preoperative workup. She enjoys using the latest technologies and learning from research by colleagues.
Dr Schorr is motivated to practice refractive surgery because she enjoys improving and perfecting the optical system of her patients. She loves having happy patients.
Dr Schorr completed a Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She completed her Residency at Baylor College of Medicine.
When not operating or seeing patients, Dr Schorr enjoys pickleball, gardening, journaling, and yoga. She is a mom to a four-year-old, and stepmom to two teens.
