David Younessi, MD is an ophthalmology resident physician at the prestigious USC Roski Eye Institute + LA General in Los Angeles, where he cares for one of the most diverse patient populations in the country. Dr. Younessi graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA before earning his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he was elected Class President and ranked at the top of his class as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His research spans artificial intelligence in ophthalmology, consumer safety of over-the-counter eye care products, and health policy and economics.
In his free time, Dr. Younessi enjoys backpacking, playing the piano, off-roading, and spending time with his cat. Whether in the wilderness or the operating room, he believes the best outcomes come from preparation, precision, and genuine care for the people he serves.
