Dr. Parker received his Medical Degree and Ophthalmology training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB), the US. He completed his corneal fellowship with Gerrit Melles, MD and PhD, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Dr. Parker is the only American ever trained at the world-famous Netherlands Institute of Innovative Ocular Surgery (NIIOS) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities in the treatment of Keratoconus and Fuchs Dystrophy and is the author of hundreds of books and scientific articles on these and related conditions.
