The story of Ama Optimex Eye Clinic starts in the early days of 1991, a post-communist era, when Dr. Andrei Filip’s parents, Prof. Amarelia Filip (physics and chemistry) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mircea Filip MD, PhD, FEBO (the current President of the Romanian Society of Ophthalmology), have decided to move forward and start to develop the future of eye care in Romania.
Today, the history shows that over the years Ama Optimex Eye Clinic has shaped the development of private eye care in Romania.
The focus of the services provided in the clinic are mainly for anterior segment, as refractive surgery, cataract, glaucoma, but also a medical retina specialist is available.
Today the whole team of the clinic consists of more than 60 staff, out of which 14 are doctors.
