Severin Pouly, MD is a cornea and refractive surgeon at a multi-subspecialty private practice providing high-quality care to residents of Arkansas and areas of surrounding states. Dr. Pouly enjoys the opportunity to provide quality up-to-date care to both maintain and restore vision and eye health while improving the quality of life for those he serves.
Dr. Pouly is a devoted surgeon who maintains a current knowledge base to constantly improve his skills along with the advances in technology and understanding, which results in providing the highest quality of personalized care to his patients.
Dr. Pouly particularly enjoys the practice of refractive surgery because it contributes so greatly to the quality of life of every patient, and the reason he loves the specialty of ophthalmology. Dr. Pouly firmly believes refractive surgical procedures are some of the best in all of medicine with regard to safety, value, and quality of life and is devoted to improving patients’ lives al the while maximizing their ability to function through their vision and ocular health.
Dr. Pouly fellowship trained in refractive surgery, having completed a fellowship at the Moran Eye Institute in Salt Lake City Utah. He completed general eye surgical residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and received his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He participates in refractive surgical care as well as other corneal surgical care including a high-volume corneal transplant practice. He is interested in research and has expertise in treating the rare side effects or complications associated with refractive surgery and has been performing corneal collagen crosslinking for keratoconus and post-refractive keratoconus or ectasia since 2016.
Dr. Pouly lives with his wife and two small children. He enjoys Texas-style barbecue, running and hiking, and landscape photography. He is actively involved in the Harmony Health Free clinic, providing free ophthalmological medical and surgical services to the underserved community in Central Arkansas.
