Zubin Shah, DO, MPH is currently a PGY-4 resident interested in pursuing a career in Cornea/Refractive surgery. Dr. Shah developed an interest in the field prior to starting his medical school, when he conducted multiple research studies for a company ‘PRN Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals’ where he designed and supervised clinical research studies on omega-3s for dry eyes. His research was published in the Journal ‘Cornea’ and also was cited in the BCSC – Basic and Clinical Science Course – published by the AAO – American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Shah graduated medical school from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL and completed his residency from St. John’s Episcopal Hospital/One Brooklyn Health system in New York City, NY. He also graduated with a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University.
Dr. Shah is passionate about laser vision correction and providing patients independence from corrective lenses. He is very active at attending national conferences. Outside of ophthalmology, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, spending time on the beach, watching football, indulging in culinary experiences and investment banking.
