Caleb Shumway, MD, MBA

Caleb Shumway, MD, MBA grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and attended college at Brigham Young University, followed by medical school at the University of California, Irvine. During his medical training, Dr. Shumway was part of the PRIME-LC program, which focuses on medical education serving the Latino community. During medical school and his later training at John A. Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah, Dr. Shumway studied new devices and techniques that are used for refractive surgery. Some of these include using femtosecond laser for corneal transplants and cataract surgeries, as well as testing new intra-ocular lenses for the correction of refractive problems in the eye.

Dr. Shumway is a current resident physician at the Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai- Bronx Care residency program. He enjoys learning and honing his skills and plans to pursue a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive surgery after completing his residency.
