Lily Arendt, OD

Lily Arendt, OD is the current Refractive Surgery and Ocular Disease Resident at Parkhurst NuVision. A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Houston to pursue her dream of becoming an optometrist. She graduated summa cum laude as a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Alongside her studies and clinical care, Dr. Arendt served as President of the Student Texas Optometric Association where she advocated to expand access to vision care for Texans. She was selected to be a clinical Teaching Assistant for three consecutive years, which she valued greatly as it reinforced her love of teaching. Her clinical externships included Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth, TX, where she became proficient in managing a wide variety of ocular disease within an underserved community, and Plaza Vision Center in Dallas, TX, where she was trained in the treatment and management of keratoconus and other corneal diseases.

Dr. Arendt got LASIK herself when she began her Residency and has never seen better! She loves talking with her patients about their vision before and after their refractive surgery as everyone has their own unique story to share and inspire others. She is excited to continue learning about refractive surgery and teaching patients and peers about how it can change their lives!
