Tran Minh Ha, MD, PhD

Tran Minh Ha, MD, PhD is an ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. Dr. Ha is the Group Medical Director of Alina Vision, a group that focuses on providing high-quality, affordable eye care in Vietnam.

After graduating with first-class honors from Hanoi Medical University, Dr. Ha spent 10 years practicing as a cataract and glaucoma specialist at Vietnam’s leading tertiary eye care hospital, the Vietnam National Eye Hospital. In 2018, she led the development of Alina Vision’s inaugural hospital in Vietnam. Dr. Ha is passionate about eliminating avoidable blindness and providing world-class eye care to patients regardless of their financial situation. To date, Dr. Ha has performed more than 10,000 cataract surgeries, achieving a positive surgical rate of greater than 90%.

Refractive errors affect people at every stage of their life. While myopia is a pandemic and expected to impact 50% of the population by 2050, presbyopia is unavoidable. To see clearly and free of spectacle is a legitimate desire. With a deep understanding of refractive surgery, Dr. Ha strives to provide her patients with the best outcomes and satisfaction.

Dr. Ha completed a Ph.D. in Open Angle Glaucoma and currently pursuing a Master of Surgery Clinical Ophthalmology at the University of Edinburg under the David and Molly Pyott Scholarship.
