Liz Hogan, BSc MSc

Liz Hogan is the Clinic Manager at the Wellington Eye Clinic. Liz studied Biomedical Science before joining the Clinic in 2013 as an Ophthalmic Technician. The Wellington Eye Clinic is actively involved in research and Liz soon became involved in this side of the practice. This sparked an interest in research and prompted her to complete a Masters in Clinical and Translational Research at University College Dublin. Since completing this masters programme, Liz coordinates the research projects at the Clinic and liaises with Industry Sponsors to design clinical trials and protocols. Liz is passionate about vision correction and has a particular interest in patient education and information.

Liz is a member of the Research Ethics Committee at the Beacon Hospital, responsible for approving research projects to be conducted across all disciplines in the Beacon Hospital.

Liz has held various roles in the Clinic since she first started as an Ophthalmic Technician. In 2019, Liz took on the role of Assistant Clinic Manager to support the Clinic Manager, Lisa McLoughlin, in the daily running of the business. When Lisa retired in early 2023, Liz moved into her current role of Clinic Manager. It is a great reward for Liz to be part of a life changing experience for patients and she is very proud to be part of a great team that are committed to providing the highest level of service and care for their patients.
